In product design, we adopt an advanced approach that balances energy efficiency with extended product lifespan, thereby achieving structural reductions in carbon dioxide emissions during the operational phase. Furthermore, by developing recycling technologies with the end-of-life stage in mind, we have established a comprehensive environmental management process that contributes to the creation of a resource-recycling society.
Recognizing that elevators are social infrastructure that plays a central role in modern urban infrastructure, we are developing reliable designs tailored to high-public-interest applications, such as evacuation support during disasters and the transport of patients in medical facilities. In particular, with an eye toward the progression of an aging society, we have made technologies that improve accessibility—based on universal design principles—standard across our entire product line. Furthermore, we are strategically working to expand the intrinsic value that vertical transportation technology brings to society through initiatives such as disaster preparedness training support programs in collaboration with local communities and the development of specialized educational infrastructure to nurture the next generation of engineers.


We have established a procurement management system that exceeds international ethical standards. Based on a traceability system that provides visibility across the entire supply chain, we strictly implement a multi-layered audit process—ranging from eliminating conflict risks in the procurement of mineral resources to ensuring appropriate working conditions at our manufacturing partners. In particular, regarding the management of environmentally regulated substances, we have advanced our chemical substance information communication system to achieve complete oversight of substances contained in our products. By formulating a transparent Code of Conduct and establishing a mechanism for continuous improvement, we have set a new standard for stakeholder engagement.
